Busy four (4) physician medical practice with ASC center is seeking an in-house Bookkeeper with 3+ years of experience to perform accounts payable, bank reconciliations and benefits coordination duties. The right candidate for this role must have a professional demeanor with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Requires intermediate to advanced QuickBooks experience with classed financial statements. Must have knowledge of General Accounting Principles, intermediate to advanced level Excel skills, and familiarity with payroll processing. This position reports directly to the medical practice administrator and will interact with accounting firms and physician owners. Must be able to handle confidential payroll matters and company finances.

Seeking a Bookkeeper/Financial Analyst for 40 Location/ 80 Doctor Specialty Practice in Hudson, Florida!

This is a new position which will assist with day-to-day bookkeeping, accounts payable and payroll, but will also assist in analyzing profitability by location, division and service line. The right individual for this position will have a solid understanding of general accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, experience with QuickBooks and classed financial reporting with an understanding of internal financial controls. Requires Advanced Excel skills including v lookup, sum-ifs, pivot tables and graphing.

An associate's or bachelor's in accounting or finance is required. Experience in Medical Practice, Clinic or Hospital setting is strongly preferred. We are not seeking a CPA but seeking prior medical experience. Requires the ability to work with staff at all levels of the organization, good attention to detail with ability to balance multiple priorities and projects. Requires experience with analytical software systems such as Sage or Workday and/or other robust accounting systems.

Requires a minimum of 1-2 years of experience obtaining infusion authorizations for Rheumatology, Hematology/Oncology, Infectious Disease, Gastroenterology or Nephrology practice.

The Infusion Authorization Coordinator will be responsible for managing the full spectrum of activities needed to obtain authorizations and ensure reimbursement for those services. Responsibilities include:

  • Working closely with physicians and clinical staff to obtain clinical and financial information needed to obtain pre-authorizations.
  • Verifying insurance benefits and eligibility.
  • Reviewing and obtaining payor information and becoming knowledgeable about third party contracts and formularies.
  • Working with pharmacies and understanding "Buy and Bill" issues.
  • Explaining coverage, benefits and out of pocket expenses to patients and arranging for patient payments.
  • Ensuring correct billing and claims submission.
  • Review and handling of denials, refiling of claims and appeals as needed.
  • Documentation into practice's EMR and billing system.
  • Developing and maintaining positive relations with physicians, clinical staff, patients and pharmacies.
  • Monitoring and working to improve turnaround times for authorizations, collection of patient pay portions, and appeals.

Position Dermatology-Mohs Practice Seeking a Full-Time Histology Technician

This position will support our Macon location within various areas of the lab, in our routine dermatology/histology lab and in the Mohs labs with some travel to Locust Grove and Lake Oconee and other areas as needed. Histology technicians need to be detail oriented. Knowledge of biology, chemistry, anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology and prior histology experience is essential for the success of this position. This role has responsibilities including but not limited to:

  • Preparing thin slices of human tissue on slides for analysis by:
    • Examining, fixing, and processing the tissue for proper sample preservation.
    • Surrounding the tissue with paraffin wax in a process called embedding.
    • Cutting a tissue sample with a microtome or cryostat.
    • Mounting the tissue sample on a slide.
    • Staining or dying the sample to emphasize abnormalities.
  • Performing preventative and corrective maintenance of equipment and instruments.
  • Management of supplies and laboratory quality-control procedures as needed.
  • Communication skills to interact effectively with physicians and other clinical staff.
  • Documentation into an electronic medical record or other applicable electronic software systems.
  • Ensures the department is operating in accordance with all standards set forth by OSHA, CLIA and other regulatory agencies.
  • Maintains histology equipment in good working order and troubleshoots equipment problems.
  • Orders supplies related to the defined area.
  • Maintains an extremely high level of confidentiality and follows HIPAA guidelines.

Certification from the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) required. Previous Mohs lab and/or lab experience highly preferred. Minimum of 2+ years of experience in a laboratory setting or a graduate of a histology program.
