The CMA will collaborate with providers and requires strong clinical and communication skills to ensure the provision of quality patient care. This position is an excellent opportunity for a professional looking to expand their experience in the medical field. The right person for this role must be organized and have the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks at once. The individual will need to possess a solid understanding of assessment techniques and medical protocols and work well with others in high volume settings.

The responsibilities of this role include but not limited to:

  • Assisting with vitals, patient charting and assisting with office procedures
  • Taking patient medical histories and recording vital signs
  • Assisting with medical procedures, such as injections and electrocardiograms (EKGs)

We are seeking an experienced Front Desk Representative to assist in performing administrative and clerical support duties including managing the front office reception process. Experienced Medical Practice Executive with 7+ years of Finance, Operations and Revenue Cycle Management experience in complex outpatient settings needed for large multi-location Family Practice and MSO to join our practice! It requires experience in a medical practice management role, a proven record of accomplishment with hands-on Revenue Cycle management.

The right individual will have a good understanding of best practices and a gift for personnel leadership. The position reports to the physician CEO and interacts with managers, employees and outside business partners. The responsibilities and qualifications for this role include:

  • Overseeing day-to-day practice operations for 6+ locations and for managing a large staff who perform administrative, clinical, financial and billing functions.
  • Responsible for bringing on new sites, and integrating personnel, financial reporting, and system integration among the practices and the MSO.
  • Responsible for the coordination of clinical and administrative staff to ensure patient services are both efficient and patient centered.
  • Requires process analysis and problem-solving skills to assess and improve work processes, strengths in IT and systems integration.

Position Dermatology-Mohs Practice Seeking a Full-Time Histology Technician

This position will support our Macon location within various areas of the lab, in our routine dermatology/histology lab and in the Mohs labs with some travel to Locust Grove and Lake Oconee and other areas as needed. Histology technicians need to be detail oriented. Knowledge of biology, chemistry, anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology and prior histology experience is essential for the success of this position. This role has responsibilities including but not limited to:

  • Preparing thin slices of human tissue on slides for analysis by:
    • Examining, fixing, and processing the tissue for proper sample preservation.
    • Surrounding the tissue with paraffin wax in a process called embedding.
    • Cutting a tissue sample with a microtome or cryostat.
    • Mounting the tissue sample on a slide.
    • Staining or dying the sample to emphasize abnormalities.
  • Performing preventative and corrective maintenance of equipment and instruments.
  • Management of supplies and laboratory quality-control procedures as needed.
  • Communication skills to interact effectively with physicians and other clinical staff.
  • Documentation into an electronic medical record or other applicable electronic software systems.
  • Ensures the department is operating in accordance with all standards set forth by OSHA, CLIA and other regulatory agencies.
  • Maintains histology equipment in good working order and troubleshoots equipment problems.
  • Orders supplies related to the defined area.
  • Maintains an extremely high level of confidentiality and follows HIPAA guidelines.

Certification from the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) required. Previous Mohs lab and/or lab experience highly preferred. Minimum of 2+ years of experience in a laboratory setting or a graduate of a histology program.
